Siin Sellest/About

Blogi sai loodud, et jagada raali kogunenud tänavakunsti Eestist - siiani pole välismaal väga saanud, jõudnud sellise pilguga ringi vaadata. Alguse poole vaadates võib selguda, et peamiselt keskendusin stenslitele e trafarettidele, kuid mida aeg edasi seda vähemaks on jäänud uusi stensleid ja seda rohkem on aega märgata ka teisi tänavakunsti väljundeid.
Mõiste "tänavakunst" on väga lai ja kindlasti on seda paljud enda jaoks erinevalt lahti mõtestanud. Mina pole veel lõplikult otsustanud, mis "tänavakunst" on. Sellel on kaks peamist põhjust, nimelt: tänavakunst, ja kunst üldse, on pidevalt muutuvad ja leiavad alati uusi avaldumise vorme, iga kunstnikuga kaasneb potentsiaal "uue" kunsti vormi leidmiseks ja selle rakendamiseks; teiseks, kunstiteosel ei pea olema tingimata omistatav või tahtlik autor, sest iga kunsti vaatleja näeb kunsti oma silma läbi - seega, mis ühe jaoks kunst, teise jaoks tähtsusetu.
Nii ei jäägi muud üle, kui lihtsalt ringi vaadata ja näha kunsti ise. Olgu see mõne lapse asfaldile tõmmatud kriidijoonistus või üldse tuule ja mõne teise nähtuse, juhuse mõjul tekkinud kompositsioon.
Sestap võib Paani Labürindis näha nii asjaarmastajatele tuntud ja teada autorite töid, kui ka küsitava tänavakunsti omadustega leide.
Sellegi poolest ma proovin traditsioonilisest tänavakunstist liiga kaugele jäävad fotod Paani Labürindist väljas hoida. Et teistel ka huvitav oleks jälgida, et mitte eemale tõrjuda.

This blog was created to share street art that's accumulated in my computer. Almost exclusively from Estonia, for, I haven't had the opportunity, nor the time to look around when abroad. It's quite evident, looking through the very first years or so, that I was primarily interested in stencils. Though, as time has passed the less of stencils there is for me to photograph, hence giving me the chance to discover the other alternative outputs in street art.
The concept 'street art' can be very broad and has been interpreted in various ways. I haven't decided what 'street art' actually stands for. There are a couple of reasons for this, namely: street art, and art altogether, are perpetually changing and always finding new ways to manifest themselves. With every artist there lies a potential to find and implement a 'new' form of art; secondly, not every piece of art needs to have a recogniseable or deliberate author, for, every viewer of art sees art through their own eyes, thus what might be art for some, is insignificant to others.
So in the end the only thing to do is to look around and see art for yourself. Be it a child's chalk drawing on concrete, or a composition conceived by wind and other phenomenas, improbabilities.
Therefor, in Pan's Labyrinth you can find pieces from well-known and acknowledge authors, but at the same time findings with questionable street art qualities.
Nevertheless, I try to keep too unconventional photos out of Pan's Labyrinth. To keep you, viewers, close by, not to fend you off.
